About Bicycle Bills

Bicycle Bills Cycle Shoppe

Bicycle Bill’s is located in Vermilion, Ohio, half-way between Cleveland and Toledo on Lake Erie and has been at 5523 South St. in Vermilion for 24 years.

The Schetter family has been in the bicycle business since 1964 with Bill (Rachel’s older brother) buying the old Atlas Cycle Shop in Loran, Ohio. Rachel Schetter McNeely (starting in the biz at age 10), the present owner of the store in Vermillion, opened her own store in 1987 and took over her brothers store in Lorain after his death in 1986.

Her husband Ted joined her in the business in 1993. He was a mechanical engineer and Cad designer for businesses in Cleveland. Both are certified bicycle mechanics. Rachel attended the Schwinn Mechanic school in Chicago and the advanced mechanic school at United Bike Institute in Ashland, Oregon. She also attended the BG Fit school of Specialized Bicycle and is a certified Fit Tech. Ted attended the CABDA mechanic school in Chicago.

Involved in the community, we are members of the Friends of Erie Metro parks and are sponsors of the annual Pep Ride. We are the SAG wagon and donate a bike that is raffled off with profits used for on going programs and projects of the parks, such as the Greenway Bicycle Path, located in Huro, Ohio and the MTB Trails at the Quarry’s in Castalia, Ohio. We supported and sponsored the development of the local Bike and Skate Park in Vermillion.
